Exploring Machine Learning Models for Identifying Strong Lens Systems in HSC-SSP Data

In the last decade, deep learning has led to very good performance on a variety of problems, such as visual recognition, speech recognition and natural language processing, including the application in astrophysical problems e.g, strong gravitational lensing detection. In this talk, I am going to present an overview of the strong lensing discovery using a variety of machine learning models. Then I will talk about the current series of HOLISMOKES papers and some related work from our group. Exploring the many machine learning networks, in particular, reveals many systems that compliment one another. I'm going to conclude off with our preliminary work to identify strong lensing.
