Professor Rong-Gen Cai (Institute of Theoretical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing)

Recently Susskind and his collaborators presented a conjecture: the complexity of a holographic state is equal to the action of the Wheeler-De Witt patch in the AdS bulk, and proposed an upper bound for the complexity growth. In this talk, I will introduce and elaborate on this conjecture by explicit calculation for some examples, and point out some subtlety in the calculations. A new form of the upper bound will be suggested.
